Jamshedpur/Jharkhand : The third edition of the Father Enright Memorial Cricket Tournament (X-FACT 2026) concluded successfully at the XLRI Jamshedpur ground. Organized by XLRI – Xavier School of Management, the tournament followed the theme “Play for a Cause,” emphasizing social responsibility and community unity alongside sporting excellence.
Men’s Category Highlights
In a thrilling final, JDCA (Jamshedpur Dental Cricket Association) defeated Vintage Warriors (DTDC) by 8 runs. Dr. Vivek was named ‘Man of the Match’ for his explosive unbeaten knock of 97 runs and contributing 3 overs on the field. In the third-place playoff, Loyola Alumni Association beat XLRI BM-HRM by 4 wickets.
Women’s Category Highlights
XL Strikers clinched the title by defeating Loyola Alumni Association by 30 runs. Sandhya Singh was adjudged ‘Player of the Match’ for her brilliant all-round performance, scoring 45 runs off 25 balls and taking 1 wicket. XL Gliders secured the third position by defeating XL Stunners by 19 runs.
Tournament Statistics and Social Impact
The event saw participation from 12 men’s and 4 women’s teams, comprising over 240 amateur players, including students, staff, and alumni. Over 5,000 spectators attended the event. The funds raised through the tournament have been dedicated to philanthropic and social causes, reflecting XLRI’s commitment to serving the underprivileged.
